Nventory is an offline-first desktop application. The vast majority of your business data — products, sales, customers, inventory — never leaves your machine. This policy explains the limited data we do collect and why.

2. Data We Collect

License activation: When you activate a license key, we collect your license key, a machine identifier (a random ID generated on your device), and a hardware fingerprint (a hash of device characteristics). This is used solely to enforce seat limits and detect unauthorized sharing.

Heartbeat: The app sends a periodic heartbeat to verify your license is still valid. This transmits your license key, machine ID, and app version. No business data is ever transmitted.

Contact form: If you contact us via our website, we collect your name, email, and message to respond to your inquiry.

Referral tracking: If you arrive via a partner referral link, we store a referral code in your browser's localStorage to attribute the purchase correctly.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your sales, transactions, or revenue data.
• Your product catalog or inventory.
• Your customer or supplier records.
• Any business data entered into the desktop application.

4. How We Use Your Data

• License key and machine data: to validate and enforce your license.
• Contact form data: to respond to your inquiry.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. When you purchase a license, your payment details are collected and processed exclusively by LemonSqueezy under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, and purchased plan to generate and deliver your license key — we never see your card details.

6. Data Storage & Security

License and activation data is stored in a secured PostgreSQL database. We use RSA-2048 signed tokens for license verification. We apply industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

7. Data Retention

License activation records are retained for the lifetime of your license to support deactivation and reactivation. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion at any time.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Contact us at support@nventory.app and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies. We use localStorage to store your language preference and referral code. No analytics or advertising cookies are used.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Software or website constitutes acceptance.
